Point of View is an independent initiative that focuses on verbal-textual expressions of visual artists in Israel. The project was co-founded in 2022 by the Plumas Art Foundation and Marcel Art Projects with the aim of strengthening the voice of the artists in the field of art and in the public discourse.

In the heart of the project, an online database of artists' writings is operated. The database is being updated and expanded regularly. It includes essays, opinion articles, interviews, manifestos and more, all of which were formulated by visual artists, in the past or in present days. Among the items in the database are articles that were originally published by analog means (for example, in printed journals) and access to them has been limited until now. These writings were digitized and for the first time they are offered for free reading online. In addition, the database includes writings that were not originally compiled in the Hebrew language and were translated into Hebrew as part of the project for the first time, as well as interviews and conversations with artists that existed until today as audio or video and were transcribed for the benefit of reading them. In addition to these, there are new texts written by artists in recent times.

The database was established with the aim of expanding the public's familiarity with the art field in Israel through direct and unmediated familiarization with attitudes and thoughts as formulated by the artists themselves.

The database is available for free online use starting in July 2024.

Point of View holds writing workshops for professional artists. The purpose of the workshops is to encourage the creative community to acquire confidence and tools that will help them formulate their points of view in relation to their art and in relation to other issues freely. The first writing workshop was held in Jaffa in September 2024.

Every year, around the International Artist's Day (October 25th), a Point of View Festival is held. At this public event, the audience is invited to meet, see and hear professional artists presenting their own original texts, watch screenings of art films, and more. The first festival took place in Jaffa in October 2024.
